The house was bustling well before 4am on Saturday morning. Coffee was brewing (thanks to Chip), breakfast was eaten, gaiters were being fastened . I kissed Armando goodbye and told him I’d seem him at the first crew station, which was Bluff. I rode over to the run start  with A2, Patrick, Dave and Jon. We met up with everyone else , and picked up our timing chips. The RD’s gathered the runners for the ultra-laid-back race briefing.
