Despite the fact that we were about to make a major life change and move to Monterrey, Mexico, I had a race credit with Aravaipa Running that I needed to use from the Tushar’s 100km last year. I declined that race because the course was engulfed in flames, which turned out beautifully, because I instead earned some race redemption at IMTUF. The RAM Party 55 mile was good timing, two weeks before our move. A lollipop course with around 6500′ of elevation gain in 55 miles, I knew I’d be running a lot more than climbing 
. Not the kind of race that suits my strengths, but it would be a solid day.
